AP1000 passed the UK Nuclear Regulatory Review

On March 30, Westinghouse Electric announced that its AP1000 nuclear power plant design has successfully completed the review of the UK nuclear regulatory agency. The agency concluded a generic design assessment for AP1000 technology and issued a Design Qualification Confirmation (DAC) and Design Acceptability Statement (SoDA) to Westinghouse. DAC and SoDA are issued by the UK Nuclear Regulatory Office and the UK Environment Agency respectively.
